October Awesomeness Part Three: Sonny's Place in Sommers

Okay, so Adam had been talking about taking me to this little family fun park in Somers for a while, and I was like, "meh..."  We finally made a plan to go, but I was not "about" going out this particular night, as it was freezing freaking cold outside and I was waaaay tired from being so busy at the inn.  But I'm so glad we went anyway, because it ended up being one of the most fun dates we've been on so far.  And we have been on many fun dates.

First: this adorable picture Adam will hate me for using on the blog :)

I love when he looks like a little kid...

There's just something about a carouse I can't resist, and this particular one was absolutely beautiful.

The haunted hayride was AWESOME, but none of my pics turned out.  Probably because I was in a constant state of spazzy fear...  After we thawed out a bit, we played a round of mini golf.

Just going through the course and looking at the silly decorations would have been fun enough.  But defeating Adam in a triumphant battle was the cherry on top.

October Awesomeness Part Two: Pumpkin Spectacular 2018

So I have a whole "Fall Bucket List," and one thing I definitely wanted to do again was the Pumpkin Spectacular in Rhode Island.  Shauna watched the Inn for me, and Adam and I went together, getting dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way (yum!) and then waiting in the cold with cider for almost an hour.  Still totally worth it.

They had over 5,000 pumpkins this year, which they have to trade out as they go bad, totaling over 20,000 pumpkins through the course of the season.

Most are cute, silly faces, like these lil' guys...

Others are way more elaborate, like these:

The craziest part is this tree at the end, absolutely covered in pumpkins.

It was a really fun night, and even more special because I got to spend it with my own, personal photographer :)

Saying Goodbye...

I am writing this post almost 3 years after I took this picture, of a bouquet my lovely friends in my writing group gave me as a fare...
